Jaguar, Panthera onca was photographed on Barro Colorado Island Panama. This island together with its research station is only 200 yards away from the mainland. the researches think that the carnivorous cat swam across the Panama canal to the nearby shore.
The jaguar photo proves that these cats are still in Panama. Jaguars are now facing habitat loss due to continues agriculture and city spreads in the country.
The scientist are hoping for another Jaguar photograph before they decide to leave the island.
