A new arts centre was opened by Starr McCamant who graduated from San Jose State in the arts and made her money in Silicon Valley. Her dream was to come back and give something back in return.

Oderberecht Constructs autopista

Oderberecht has won a contract from Panama to complete the long-delayed toll route project. Both National Bank of Panama and the Brazil government will assist with financing. They will pay the company a subsidy to help keep the tolls below $3.00.

Woman Denied Access to Restaurant

A popular restaurant in Panama City refused entrance of a woman because she had her guide dog with her. Apparently, this kind of discrimination is not illegal here. An interesting story on humanity.

Noriega on Trial

Panama down but not out

Sunday in Panama Freddy Adu scored twice to help the United States beat Panama 5 - 0 and caused the United States to win its qualifying group for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup. United States is making their sixth appearance in a row in the FIFA World Youth Championship. Panama also earned a berth in the tournament from the four-nation group.

Craig County Rescue

Kurt Muse was rescued by U.S. Special Forces elite group Delta Force. The Delta Force is not supposed to exist but the cat is out of the bag now. Craig, a member of the Force was rescued and the story of this rescue was aired in January on the Military Channel which is part of the Discover Channel network. An amazing story well worth reading.

Surprise Arrest

An American soldier visiting Panama City while on leave had sexual intercourse with a 14 year old girl in a motel on December 26th and 27th. Nineteen-year-old Derrick Broxton was arrested on the base and is awaiting extradition.

Sightseeing In Panama

Panama has many historic sights for visitors to choose from. They have Potobelo Fortress whis is a protected area filled with rainforest and marine life and Old Panama is an amazing Archaeological Site which was founded in 1519 by Pedradiras Davila and became an important geographic location for trade.

Panama Canal Cruises

One of the most awe inspiring cruises is through the Panama Canal. The canal opened in 1914 and offers the vasting contrasting views of the man made machines that lower and raise the ships with the lush natural jungle canopy.
